Houston, TX - As a part of the North Houston Frontiers Club (NHFC) new branding and imaging initiative, the NHFC has announced the organization’s name change to the Greater Houston Frontiers Club (GHFC). Beginning Monday, January 16th, the Frontiers implemented its new name, new logo and officially launch its new and updated website www.GreaterHoustonFrontiers.com.
With the name change, GHFC hopes to cast a wider net over the community to increase membership, and expand the sponsorship program to help provide much needed scholarships for more high school seniors from Harris County. Donnell Cooper, GHBC president, announced the importance of the name and website change at the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King Scholarship Breakfast. “The new name change do not change the mission or the history of the Club (Greater Houston Frontiers), it just amplifies and reflects a larger presence and that's what the mission is truly about,” said Cooper. Formally known as North Houston Frontiers, The Greater Houston Frontiers Club, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c) (3), service organization, dedicated to providing educational and monetary assistance to talented, deserving students in Houston's Harris County. Since its inception in 1986, the Greater Houston Frontiers Club's Scholarship Program has awarded over $1M dollars to deserving college bound minority high school seniors in the Houston area. The success of the Scholarship Program is due to the generous contributions from individuals, foundation, grantors, and corporations interested in providing life changing opportunities to improve students, their families and the community at large.
